The White Dwarf Seahorse is based on an actual living creature. Its scientific name is Hippocampus zosterae. Although white is the most common color for these seahorses, they do come in other colors: tan, brown, yellow, and green. Like its real life namesake, the White Dwarf Seahorse is a tiny creature with the stereotypical seahorse appearance.
