The Matted Filefish is also known as the Bristle-tail Filefish, or by its scientific name Acreichthys tomentosus. Like its real-life counterpart, it is a rhomboid-shaped fish with an elaborate, mottled pattern on its flat body. The slender spine that crowns the head of the Matted Filefish is what has earned this fish its scientific family name, Monacanthidae (from the Greek monos meaning "one" and akantha meaning "thorn").

Game Description[]

"Found in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, the filefish family contains approximately 107 species in 26 genera. Filefish are closely related to the triggerfish, pufferfish, and trunkfish."
